Copper City Chiefs Announce 2026-27 Inaugural Season Schedule
ROME, N.Y. – The Copper City Chiefs have officially unveiled their 2026-27 inaugural season schedule, marking the return of senior semi-professional hockey to the historic John F. Kennedy Civic Arena.
The Chiefs will open franchise history on Saturday, October 24, when they host the Bathurst St. Lions in a 7:30 p.m. Opening Night matchup.
The current schedule features 24 games (12 home, 12 away), with two additional home games expected to be announced in the near future to complete the home schedule.
The Chiefs will face:
Oswego Admirals – 6 games (3 home, 3 away)
Bathurst St. Lions – 6 games (3 home, 3 away)
Thousand Island Raiders – 6 games (3 home, 3 away)
Altoona Inferno – 2 games (both at home)
Wooster – 2 games (1 home, 1 away)
Buffalo – 1 road game
Three Rivers Aces – 1 road game
"We're excited to finally put this schedule into the hands of our fans," said Jimmy Milliken, Owner/President of the Copper City Chiefs. "Our goal was to build a competitive schedule while creating some natural regional rivalries. The Oswego Admirals are our closest opponent geographically, followed by the Thousand Island Raiders, so we expect those matchups to develop into some great rivalries both on and off the ice. We can't wait to see JFK Arena packed on Opening Night."
In addition to two more home games being announced, the organization will soon release its 2026-27 Promotional Night Schedule, featuring special theme nights, giveaways, community events, and fan-favorite promotions throughout the inaugural season.
Season Tickets are on sale now and start at just $126 for all home games.
