Copper City Chiefs Sign Forward Gino DeBlasiis
ROME, N.Y. — The Copper City Chiefs are proud to announce the signing of forward Gino DeBlasiis for the upcoming 2026-27 American Premier Hockey League (APHL) season.
The 6-foot, 190-pound forward joins the Chiefs after spending three seasons at SUNY Canton (NCAA Division III), where he recorded 7 goals, 6 assists, and 30 penalty minutes.
Prior to his collegiate career, DeBlasiis skated in the USPHL with the Charlotte Rush and Rochester Monarchs, totaling 33 goals, 27 assists, and 60 points, while adding 73 penalty minutes. His combination of speed, grit, and relentless work ethic made him a difficult player for opponents to contain.
"Gino can absolutely fly up and down the ice," said Chiefs Owner/President Jimmy Milliken. "He's willing to get into those dirty areas, battle for loose pucks, and do whatever it takes to help his team win. He's a blue-collar player, and that's exactly what the identity of the Copper City Chiefs is going to be. I can't wait to see Gino in a Chiefs uniform."
DeBlasiis adds another talented local collegiate player to a growing Chiefs roster as the organization continues to build toward its inaugural season in Rome.
