Copper City Chiefs Sign Goaltender Tripp Clarke
ROME, N.Y. – The Copper City Chiefs, proud members of the American Premier Hockey League (APHL), are excited to announce the signing of goaltender Tripp Clarke for the inaugural 2026-27 season.
The 6-foot-0, 165-pound netminder brings a wealth of experience to the Chiefs after spending four seasons at Manhattanville College (NCAA Division III). During his collegiate career, Clarke posted a 4.64 goals-against average and .869 save percentage while competing at the NCAA level.
Prior to college, Clarke enjoyed an outstanding junior career in the USPHL, playing for the Syracuse Jr. Stars, Utica Jr. Comets, Charlotte Rush, and Northern Cyclones. Across his junior career, he compiled an impressive 47-14-3 record, along with a 2.66 goals-against average, .914 save percentage, and seven shutouts.
"We are thrilled to have Tripp between the pipes for the Chiefs," said Owner/President Jimmy Milliken. "His outstanding junior numbers, combined with four years of experience at a strong NCAA Division III program, give him the experience and leadership we're looking for in our goaltending position. We believe Tripp will be a key piece of our success this season."
Clarke joins defenseman Jaxon Rutkowski and forwards Ray Falso and JT Entelisano on the growing Copper City Chiefs roster as the organization continues to build toward its inaugural season.
